Our Team

Cees Verburg, general director - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

At least twenty times a day he has the most fantastic ideas of which - if he is lucky - one is feasable. When he is in the mood he is great fun, but please don't bother him in the morning before he had his fourth cup of coffee - before that be aware of the risk you take. He is the energetic initiator of Tin Can Alley Guitars.

Nguyen Thi Thai, sales and PR - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

You can ask her anything and she'll do it, because she doesn't only do what her job requirs, she is also a lifesaver. An item out of stock? Electricity down (happens a lot here in Vietnam)? Supplier is way too late? She mostly comes up with an unexpected solution. And if not, she has a comforting word that will prevent having you another sleepless night.

Nguyen Phuong Ly, decorating artist - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

She is only 20 years old but she has already great artistic skills. Her nickname is Cua (which she hates by the way), which means crab and when she is working you might think that indeed she has two claws and eight arms. Shout "Keith Haring", "Psychedelic" or "Birds" and in no time she comes with a great, new design for our guitars.

Do Viet Dung, luthier - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

For three generations Dung's family has been making string intruments like the đàn bầu and the đàn tính. Dung did not only keep up with family traditions, but is a crafted guitar luthier, building both acoustic and electric guitars with flat top bodies as well as archtop bodies. The necks he makes for our guitars are small pieces of art, handcrafted with love and passion.

Tran Trung Nam, metal worker - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Like most Vietnamese he thought we were crazy when we asked him to reproduce oil cans. And his eyes became even bigger when we told him we needed them to make guitars. It took him some time to admit it, but like the others in our team he is proud now of the great guitars we produce.

Nguyen Van Nhu, woodwork - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

What he sees he can make. We have known Nhu for a long time: everything in our house that is made of wood is made by him: tables, cupboards, doors... you name it. So even before asking him if he could do the woodwork for our guitars, the question was answered.

Pham Ngoc Nam, webdesign and photography - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
He is not much of a talker - well, he probably doesn't need it: his eyes and his camera do the talking for him. While millions of pictures are taken of guitars, he is still able to shoot an original photograph that makes you think: wow, that is a beautiful guitar - is that really the same  one I just played on?
